The British championships took place in Switzerland, Laax. The course was a big improvement to the previous years, with some really nice features and some fast sections. I decided to take part in both the snowboard and Skicross event as they were on consecutive days.
Here is the video of the event.

For the Snowboardcross, the weather was amazing, nice and sunny. It was nice to be competing with the whole team which created a bit of competitiveness. The qualifications went well with everyone getting two runs. I qualified first which gave me lane choice the whole way into the final.
Once the four person heats started the race was properly on, with sixteen people qualified into the heats.
I managed to qualify first in all my heats which made me confident going into the final heat where the podium was to be decided!
My start was difficult, I pulled out of the gate last but managed to squeeze my way into second place in between the Wutang and the first turn, I then used the aspiration after the second turn to take first place which I managed to keep until the end.
Going into the skicross event, I had mixed feelings as I hadn’t skied all year,as I had been solely training snowboarding. I did however know the track from the day before so I was confident. The weather was not so nice, but we were going faster, overshooting most of the jumps. I qualified third, but in the finals finished second which I am very eased with!
I’m happy to have come first in the Boardercross as there was quite a lot of pressure even if it wasn’t the biggest event of the year.
It is defiantly a great way to end the season. I am now in Barcelona enjoying a couple of weeks off!
I would like to thank everyone for this great season she I have had some great results, especially Norton Rose, BSS, TASS and Skiers Trust.
